i usually land my standing tuck with my chest very low and the flip itself is very long.... i'd like to do a back tuck on beam someday but i won't be able to do that until they improve significantly on the floor.... anyone have some tips?

I'd have to see a video to be sure.

Lacking that, I can say this; a standing back tuck has as much to do with strength as it does technique. In tumbling, good technique can make up for a lack of strength, and vice versa, but that's not really the case in standing saltos; you gotta be strong.

Specifically, you need good leg strength (to generate height) and you need good ab strength (to get into a tight tuck).
