I was just reading through the guidelines that USAG has put out for member clubs as they prepare to reopen and realized that this forum's namesake, Chalkbucket, may be a thing of the past, as each gymnast is now encouraged to have their own chalk.

I don't know why, but it kind of made me sad. The chalkbucket is like the gym's water cooler. I loved watching the girls chat and giggle while chalking up. Just another thing we didn't know we had until it was gone. :(

I asked my kid about that. She thinks it is great, because she felt the girls stalled there all the time, lol. So for her, it’s no loss. I am sure others feel differently though!

Yeah, now our kids sit around the bar area with their little tupperwares and chalk their grips and talk. Nothing has changed except the vessel and the girls being a bit farther apart. :D

As soon as this is all over, whenever that is, the chalk buckets will come back.
