Ollie

A few weeks ago During practice we were doing regular leaps on the high beams, I went for one and my foot slipped and I somehow slid down the beam and I had a beam burn (is a beam burn a thing?) down the outside part of my leg. Now when I do leaps on beam they are so small and I want to fix it I just don't know how! And my leaps on beam used to be really big and high, but now I am scared to do them! Please help!

Yes beam burns are a thing.

This is a fear issue. Just do them on beams you're comfortable with (shorter/with mats underneath) until you're comfortable. There's no magic "fix" unless you want to just go for it regardless of your fear.

Okay :) and thanks! I've done them on low beams before and I can do those fine

I had the leap fine for competition season last year, we haven't worked on routines for this season yet, just skills. I'll see at practice if that could be a possibility, thanks!
