Is there a list online of what is an "A" skill, "B" skill, etc. and what is required at each level? Or do you have to buy a book to learn that stuff? It seems like, when I search for that info online, I generally find links to books I can buy. This is just for my own curiosity. I plan on having zero input into any of Kathy's routines when she hits optionals.

The only thing I've ever seen on line is the list of needting so many a's, b's etc but no list of what moves actually met those requirements. other than books for purchase. Coaches know but don't really share that info.

You can download the CoP off FIG's website. However, the USA J.O. CoP needs to be bought off USAG website. You might be able to ask your gym to see or copy the pages you are interested in.

Yeah, even if I was willing to shell out the money to get the code of points, it would be a little silly to do it now when it will be outdated in a little over a year.

Well, there is some gymnastics judging software out there that should have the COP for JO and FIG in them. Doug Hill has his DVD that does it and Gymquest. Ok, found what I was looking for. So glad, I didn't have to scroll through my FB inbox to find the link.

I would say as coaches, I doubt most of us have memorized the COP. There is all sorts of elements in there off hand that are archaic or barely used. Some judges might. I know my fair share of it on the men's side as I took the judging course but there is stuff in there that offhand I would have to look up or isn't used anymore at all, really. JO MAG used to be different than FIG MAG where some elements recieved different values but at least it isn't that way anymore. Might be for college, dunno.

I have an unopened, still in plastic wrap, version of the current J.O. code of points. USAG charges $45 plus $9 shipping for it, for a total of $54. I would be willing to sell it to someone for $30 including shipping. If anyone is interested, PM me.

(If this is a violation of board rules, I apologize. I was just reading this thread and realizing someone might be interested.)
