Is she hurt? Why is she not going?

Yes she is hurt. She has a fall on bars - doing a toe half - has trained it a million times.
She has two tears - one in her tendon and one in her fascia.
The tendon tear has since healed but the fascia has not.
She is being treated by Dr. Galea in Toronto and he said no competing.
She has been on reduced training since Nov 18
No running, no tumbling. She is still doing bars in pit, with spot
She has now just started adding things back....

Thanks Bog, she was doing so well with her new coach...he is amazing....and then a freak fall. We see Dr. G again Feb 12th...so hopefully tear #2 is healed. The good thing is the tears are small and she is young so those are two pluses for her.

Oh I am sad about that, poor Alex. Was hoping to watch her. Hope she recovers quickly.

We were on your turf for the qualifier yesterday. It's a pretty nice facility although my daughter wasn't so keen about vaulting into the corner of the room! Were you volunteering? Kept my eye out but didn't see you.

I was there all day Sunday watching and volunteering on Saturday. What flight were you in? That is our competitive gym. The small gym where the awards are is our rec. gym. its a pretty nice gym with fantastic equipment.

I am so happy that it is being streamed!!! On the CAN Gym site it only had the rythymic being streamed before. So now my mom and my hubby can watch!!
