Ok, now that my DD's and I have caught the college meet bug, does anyone know how long the NCAA D1 regional meets usually last? University of Florida will be hosting the Southeast Regional meet and I am thinking about going. It starts at 6:00 on Saturday evening so I'm wondering how late a night that will be considering we have church the next morning?

We went to the regional meet 2 years ago and Nationals last year. I remember being surprised at how fast it went. I think it was only like a little over 2 hours. They do compete all 4 events at once and the scoring goes really fast. Plus, all the warm up is before hand so they just have the brief touch warm up on events when they rotate. I do remember that there was so much going on all the time and having a hard time knowing what to watch!

Regionals have 6 teams competing(plus a handful of specialists), but like gymtigermom said, all four events run at the same time, plus 2 teams will be on a bye during each rotation. So it really only takes about 50% longer than a 2 team meet. I would put the average time at about 2 hrs 15 min to 2 hrs 30 mins or so.

I agree- it does go fast!! We went to the SEC championships last year and was out of there in a few hours. Hope that you guys have a great time!
