Hi there! We live in San Diego. My DD is 8 and currently L3. This is her first season "on team". She was pre-team last year I guess L1? She is the first gymmie in the family so this is ALL brand new to us. She quit her soccer team that I coached so she could focus on gymnastics full time (only broke my heart a little).
But she was definitely born to be a gymnast. She is crazy flexible and has been doing the splits since she was a baby (she used to sleep that way sometimes). Even when she played soccer - she was good at it but she was just so bouncy and light on her feet all the time. She started gymnastics for fun and it quickly escalated to an obsession. She could barely walk across a room without doing a cartwheel. And now here we are, a family suddenly in love with gymnastics
