USAG just announced that Smith will take Nichols spot due to a knee injury. SO the injuries begin. Olympic year seems to be about who will survive to the O's. Like the hunger games.

Dowell has always had "impressive stuff" ...it's her lack of consistency that takes her out of the equation..

I've heard on Twitter that they think it is her meniscus. Though this is not officially confirmed by USAG.
