What is a podium meet? How do we know whether or not a meet is considered a podium meet.

What is a podium meet? How do we know whether or not a meet is considered a podium meet.

Well, for a start, the equipment is on a podium, about three feet high (or so). Almost all international meets are on a podium these days. Big meets are always on a podium.

There are US qualifying meets early in the elite season referred to as "podium meets"...

And "podium training" is what has been going on in Beijing...it happens in the week before any major international competition. The athletes get to use the actual equipment which they will be competing on.
