Hello, I have a gymnast having challenges with consistent hand placement on her BHS on beam. I have seen videos of other gymnasts using a red “band” around their wrists while training this skill + BHS BHS series. Hoping someone can point me to what those bands are + some opinions from those who have used them on the pros/cons of using them with young gymnasts.

I have seen gymnasts use scrunchies around their wrists to keep their hands together for BHS on beam during open gym.
I, personally, would be leery of doing this (at least on higher beams) just because ...
what if they are "off" and only one hand is on, with the hands "stuck" together, they might get more hurt than if the other hand was free
what if they are completely off with NO hands on, again, they may get more hurt.
On a low beam with stacked panel mats, I would find it more acceptable ... but eventually they need to learn to keep their hands together without them being bound. Afterall, they can't COMPETE like that.

Not sure... I can see it fine.
Lol, I can see it UNTIL I hit Play. Then I see this:

I can see the video. I just tried again, works for me.hmmmm....
