Okay guys, I haven't been on for a while but I have a question for you!

I have state in a week and am tossing up competing layout or full twist in floor routine. Up until yesterday I had only competed full twist but yesterday my fulls weren't going very well so I pulled back to a layout. I still did well on floor (pretty much the same placement) and we didn't get given scores so I couldn't compare the scores.

The routine with layout has a value of 13.2
The routine with twist has a value of 13.7

we go by FIG judging I'm pretty sure.

Judging by those two routines which would you recommend competing - I am leaning towards twist because it gives me a significant advantage and I like competing it.

Also happy to take any general criticisms of the routine in general.

I would compete the full because the deductions are similar but the full has a higher start value. Both have about the same height but the layout has more pike. The full was a little over turned and your legs were apart/crossed. If you are warming up and the full is wonky just do the layout.

If these 2 routines scored about the same I would say the turn was much better in the layout routine. Also I guess your leap pass doesn't have to be connected?
