Proud Parent
I'm new to this site and the artistic world (power tumbling was my thing) so I hope someone can give me some advice. Our club closes down for 4 weeks over the summer which seems like a long time. My DD struggles with being sore and lost moves when she returns in August. Should I put her into a summer gym camp or get her private lessons or does she really need those weeks to recover from last season? Help!

My kids had the same issue, except their gym closed for ten weeks in summer. They went to gym camps and totally loved the experience. Made great friends, stayed in shape and had a blast.

Besides that try to keep her active. Swimming, biking, hiking etc.

But yes mine were wrecks when they started back each fall.

Wow that much time off? Our gym closed for two weeks and we get a program from our coach for conditioning. I did camps kids had fun. I don't think they need that much time to recover. Summer is new skills time.

Yeah, that is a long time to be off. I would definitely do something -- camps, swimming, kids cross-fit...I don't know, whatever you can find to keep her active and moving.
