Hi ! We are considering a move to Tokyo, Japan and are having a hard time finding gyms there for my daughter to train at . We are American so we would prefer English speaking. She is currently Level 8 and trains 22 hours a week. Thanks for your help!!

Have you tried Tsukahara gymnastics center. To be honest I have no clue weather they are good or not. But searching the internet it seems to be a very well known facility in Tokyo http://www.tsukahara-taisou.com/nyukai-english.html#a (If you google translate the original pages you get some more information about the coaches etc https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http://www.tsukahara-taisou.com/nyukai.html&edit-text=&act=url

I don't know how well they are in english but they seem to be doing a good gymnastics job

I did see that gym but it looked like the max hours was 10 per week. I will definitely contact them to see if they have other training options and if they have english speaking coaches. THANKS!!!!:)
They do have elite level athletes so I guess more hours should be possible in some way.

There was a thread on here not too long ago about overseas gymnastics facilities and @dunno posted a very good link.

I sent an inquiry to the Asahi Mutual LIfe Insurance Club. It is pretty close to where my children would go to school so that would be great if they train expats!

Tokyo is huge. While the trains are great, you might want to search in you area. I would email the Japanese federation and ask for clubs in a radius of where you live.

To the original poster, did you make the move to Tokyo? If so, did you find a gym for your daughter? My husband is considering a move to Tokyo and my daughter would be a Level 7 gymnast by the time we moved, and I am very interested in your feedback
