Now I definitely know that I should take her to the doctor which I will however I wanted your opinions on what it could possibly be. My daughter told me that when she hits the board on a vault she gets a tingle in her back. I’m wondering if this is an injury in process or if she just needs to see a chiropractor. Has anyone had this experience? And what was it?

Take her to a physiatrist if you can find one near you. Its a relatively new specialty. MD with training in muscles nerves bones joints. Kind of a combo orthopedist/neurologist.

My daughter experienced lower back pain and tingling in her back and the back of her left thigh, especially with back handsprings and front handsprings. An xray revealed spondylolysis (fracture of a bone that holds the vertebrae stable over the sacrum) and a spondylolisthesis (slippage of the vertebrae). It is a long recovery period. Go to a doctor immediately.
