LOL! I understand the point- parents today never blame their child for anything- but can someone explain to me, the newbie, what exactly is a reserve in gymnastics?

we don't have "reserve" positions in gymnastics unless you consider college teams and event selection for competitions.

you could be in "reserve" if someone were to get sick or injured and you must step in to the line up. get it?
