Where can I find really tiny briefs

Help! I have been looking for really small briefs. DD is 5 and pretty small. She wears a CXS leotard, but I find the briefs to be too big. She has a little waist and a tiny/nonexistent butt. I buy her 2T underwear, swimsuits, shorts. Normal underwear shows too much because of the cut. It bunches up and looks silly. She had been wearing nothing, but at level 4 they have been asked to wear briefs. She also has a beautiful white leo that is a bit see through and she really needs some nude briefs under it. Please tell what brand and size has worked best for you. Even if you know of regular underwear that works well under leos.

I wouldn't even bother with underwear while she's young and she's able to get away with it. It was the same with all the girls in the gym. My daughter didn't wear underwear under her leo until she was 11..by that time , you'll be able to find high cut briefs in her size.

I doubt you can buy gym briefs that small. You might just find ballet/ dance undies smaller. Maybe it might be worth a couple of phone calls to specialist dance outlets. If you are really stuck I would take 3 or 4 pairs of good fitting good quality material but too low cut normal undies to a seamstress and have them made high cut. Probably cost loads less than to buy the proper ones anyway.

My dd always wanted to wear knickers when she was little under her leo so I had the same problem. We actually found some (inapropriate for a 6 year old!) high cut tiny briefs with crop top set in a cheap shop.

Fortunately these shrank further in the wash lol and were perfect!

Funny but when my dd got to 8 she then preferred nothing underneath. So she has to wear all the high cut ones I stockpiled for everyday wear.

So difficult to find tiny undies. And especially finding some that have no print or anything on them. And I love low cut undies, except when they are for under a leo. You might think about getting some made. I searched and searched for some for Abby to wear under a leo she had that was silverish and another that was navy blue, but too thin in the crotch area. No luck.

I am surprised they request they wear briefs at their gym. A few of the girls on Abby's team wear them at practice, but they don't wear them at meets.

My dd still goes "commando" and doesn't wear anything under her leo either. You can try Discount Dance and Dancewear Solutions on the internet. They may have something that small.

This is hard since they have to be nude. If it was just for one competition leo, I would recommend a bathing suit bikini bottom in as close a color as you can get, and just big enough to fit. Alternatively I would say try to get a pair of flesh toned undies (but these will be hard to find for a small child anyway...maybe white or light pink will do?) in a microfiber fabric, and then tighten the leg elastic yourself. It needs to be pretty snug.

Take the comp Leo to a seamstress and have her line it withstretch nude fabric, they can also build in undies to the Leo.

I dislike white leos so much!

GK CXS are what I bought and they are too big. Yet the crotch is like a thong, very weird fitting. I'm thinking of seeing if my mom can take them in. I just thought someone facing the same problem might have found something that worked. It's not like she's the smallest kid on earth so there has to be something that fits kids her size.

A girl at her gym is close in size and her mom suggested the string bikini underwear from Justice. I tried them and they are smaller than the GK briefs, but still too big. The other child is built bigger on the bottom and slim through the shoulders. DD is bigger through the back while very slim through the hips and really no butt. She's really hard to find pants for too. Even with an adjustable waist they are too big through the butt and thighs.

She may just have to be indecent in her leo. Honestly the leo being see-through is better than seeing underwear bunched up underneath.

My dd is the same way...skinny and no bottom whatsoever at all...she's 7 and can wear a size 4T bottom. She has bathing suits that fit her rib cage but the bottoms fall off! lol
I'm surprised they told you she must wear undies. At our gym, its the opposite...nothing under the leo for competition. It's the same for dance recitals, too. The suggestion to take the leo and have it lined is a good one...then you get the best of both worlds. Good luck!!

Why don't the makers just line them in the first place? Just wondering...I mean, swimwear comes lined, doesn't it?!

You can add lining to them (some anyway) when you get them made (I think both Alpha Factor and GK will do this). But most people don't bother, for older girls and white leos sometimes. But most just prefer to wear their own briefs or something, if they're going to do it, I don't know.

Having judged a team that wore see-through white leos, I would prefer to see bunched up underwear than, well, the alternative. Not wearing underwear is one thing, but, IMO, white leos are another!

We fought the undies thing for years. Flipper, like so many gymnasts, has no behind or hips. I resorted to making her little briefs to wear to gymnastics, then finally started adding lining to the leos that required undergarments (usually just lined the crotch, but occasionally lined the entire leo). When she started competing, the coaches told the girls they had to wear briefs under their leos. I ordered GK XS and they were huge. She just went without figuring the coaches probably weren't going to check, and if they did, I would deal with it. She is 11 and still goes without - says it is more comfortable.

I would like to take a moment to thank my mother for forcing me to learn how to sew. I swore I would never use it, but I am constantly altering clothes to get them to fit that nonexistent hiney or giving up and making things that fit!
