She has some awesome stuff on her website-even free stuff if you don't want to commit to a program for a few months. All good stuff about mindset and being intentional in preparation. Better for kids a little older-my 8 yo didn't really click with it, but my 10 year old liked the concepts a...
Anyone on this thread (or watching) know how many Elites there are in the US? I am sure it is out there, but I can't seem to find it. My ODD has her eyes on Elite, so I am very curious.
My older girlie ended up learning a tough lesson. We usually say no to sleepovers, but this was a birthday party sleepover with school friends. No meets for three weeks-and on the first week due to being over tired she hit her head somehow...then complained of a headache. Coaches were worried of...
@profmom-any special nutrition tricks you have found? I kind of wonder if my girl burns muscle faster than she builds it. She is rarely sore from conditioning and eats all the time! Healthy stuff and we have been increasing protein. Always looking for other ideas to help her. My YDD seems to be...
Thank you!!! This is very helpful!! My girlie needs to eat so frequently throughout the day, but the public school environment makes that so difficult since they allow just one snack per day and often no peanut butter. At home she eats all day long when she isn't at gym training. Keep the ideas...
I have one daughter who is clearly an Ectomorph-very flexible and does well in bars & beam, as well as floor dance. Wondering what some of you have learned about dietary suggestions to help increase power and strength for the different body types. I searched the past posts but could not find...
Hi! I am a mom of two dedicated gymnasts. One preparing for a L4 season and one ready for L7 and working on that tough L8 vault. We are enjoying the ride and will see where the journey takes us! Looking forward to sharing insights and learning together.
Yes...I know a lot of details are out there...which don't need to be shared here in this forum. I was trying to make the point that it is a reminder to have the tough conversations with our children about this "stuff." Not to be paranoid and go making accusations or "freak out", but to talk...
We don't know all the details of this man's abuses of both his status as a trusted grown up and coach, or what the red flags were that he was doing hurtful things to children. Thankfully someone spoke up with credible information and now he will have to face the consequences of his decisions. It...
Similar struggle here! My older girl is incredibly flexible, but strength is a challenge. We keep trying to increase her protein intake and encourage her to do the press handstands. Patience with this is not easy, but as the season progresses, she has done well. We will see for this year as well!
