Started gymnastics around 7 at a YMCA with the elementary school's gym teacher as the coach. Joined the closest team at 10 were we set up and broke down each night in a middle school gym. Quit at 15 since there was no longer anyone there to coach my level and the next nearest gym was 45 min. away and my mom wouldn't take me (can't blame her - I was the oldest of 4). In college started coaching but couldn't resist playing on the equipment. Eventually got to the point where I got everyting back and then some... then partially tore a ligament on my *good* knee. Fast forward 15 years and after taking my 2 kids to a local gym again I couldn't resist getting on the equipment. I started taking a class myself Feb. 2011 once a week and fell in love with it all over again. I am currently going 2 nights a week but it has been quite a struggle getting my body to do what it once could do with ease!
