Voluntary Routine with max 1.1 difficulty

Thanks, this is really useful. I've tried a couple of ideas using it and it's really helped me to see how the difficulty increases.

Voluntary Routine with max 1.1 difficulty

Thanks :) I like how the second routine has both front and back drops, as the routines I've been practising normal only have one. All those half twists seem like a good way to increase the difficulty.

Voluntary Routine with max 1.1 difficulty

Yes, I'm competing in Novice for NEUT, and considering BUCS 6. I want to create a new voluntary routine, as the BUCS 6 compulsory routines seem easy to me, so I was hoping to be able to compete a more difficult one for the voluntary. I was thinking about just altering the award 9 routine by...

Voluntary Routine with max 1.1 difficulty

I'm part of the trampoline club at uni and I'm trying to design a voluntary routine suitable for NEUT or BUCS competitions. It cannot have more than 1.1 for the difficulty and cannot exceed 270 degrees rotation for somersaults. Does anyone have any routines that would be suitable other than the...

    WAG Some questions about grips

Thanks for the help! I'll try using tape grips for a bit longer but will probably end up using the palm guards now I know the Gymnastic Express ones have a good reputation!

    WAG Some questions about grips

I have been using tape grips for a while made out of athletics tape but I find that the tape around my wrists slip a lot. Does anyone know how to stop this happening? Also, I have been thinking of switching to palm guards but I was wondering if they take a while to break in? I only do twenty...

    WAG Tape Grips

I have ripped my hands quite a few times now on bars and considering making some grips from tape as I currently have to stop bars as soon as I rip. However, I have no idea what type of tape to use. I would really appreciate suggestions. Thanks :)

    Vault and Rebound Proficiency Awards

I was wondering if anyone knew what skills are needed to pass silver and gold in the vault and rebound awards. These are for the British Gymnastics advanced proficiency awards. Thanks :)

    just for fun...lefty or righty?

Right for writing, right in gym, right for turning. However, I think that I'm a lefty when twisting! If I ever start learning twisting moves I don't know it I will learn left which feels natural or go right so it's not confusing!

    Hey!

So, I joined a couple of months ago but never introduced myself. I am 15 years old and started gymnastics when I was two! I did a parent-child class, then rec, general and now a teen/adult class. I do one hour a week and I'm not very good but trying to improve more now. In USAG levels I am...

    Blisters, rips and calluses

Thanks for clearing up about the lip balm, and whether to use tap. My rip has some skin left over it and it is becoming hard, should I take it off now that the some of the skin beneath is coming back?

    Blisters, rips and calluses

So this week at gym I got my first rip so I thought I should get some advice about calluses, blisters and rips. Firstly, I have heard both not to moisturise your hands and to moisturise them as much as possible. I suppose not moisturising would keep the calluses which are what you are aiming...

Help with straddle undershoot on bars

I am glad to know that you don't need to be too flexible to do it. I understand that it is a similar position to sit in straddle with your chest on the floor, but I do know people at my gym who can do straddle undershoot but can't get their chest to the floor. I think this could be because you...

Help with straddle undershoot on bars

I just wanted also to say that I will try jumping to straddle from a front support position at home to see if I will find it easier to do straddle onto the bars after practising this. However I am slightly confused about Flossyduck asking if it was a flexibility issue. Will my flexibility stop...
