I really don't have a flexible back lol it's pretty sad, however my shoulder flexibility is decent and makes up for it. Just keep trying you will get it. Stretch, stretch, stretch. How often are you working backwalkovers?
I'm working on my ROBHS I need to get it, once I do I can skip like two levels. Right now besides ROBHS I'm working backwalkovers on beam, FHS vault, punch front, and cast handstands (:
I got mine in a few weeks after starting to work on backbend kickovers. It all depends on working hard and not being scared. If you really want it I would do multiple shoulder stretches and bridges at home. Stay safe! And good luck on getting it :)
Also when it hurts when I walk, it's only the part of walking when you flex your foot if that makes sense and when I flex it, it hurts really bad. So I don't know if at makes a difference in it being a different type of injury
Last week at practice I did a leap and landed on my ankle wrong and rolled it. It didn't hurt when I first did it and I kept on doing practice just fine. Two days after that practice my ankle started to hurt whenever I walked off and on. It's been a week and it's still hurting at different times...
You aren't the only one I'm fine with forward skills but after backwalkovers everything else is scary. I've been working on back handsprings for a year and still can't get it. I wish there was a way to get more confident
