Parents advice on transitioning out of gym

My daughter was level 9. She started rock climbing. Loves it so far. Might transition into competing. She just turned 13. I think she would like diving but I've done the long drive to gyms for years so would like to avoid it. She'll try track and field in the spring and mountain biking in the...

WAG How to cope with chronic pain/injury and end of gymnastics career

My daughter injured her knee. A few weeks later on a bike ride she broke her wrist. This proved to be a jumping off point for her. She was ready to try something new. I almost think she didn't know how to quit. She ended at level 9. And up until this point it came somewhat easy (easy isn't the...

    Parents Pricey Competition Leos

Nothing? We pay a $250 team fee for the year. Included in the team fee is the leo rental. I don't think the team has changed leo's in years. Each level has their own leotard. The compulsary level's don't have team warm ups.

    just wondering...training hours/cost for L4

My dd is 7 years old and a level 4. She trains MWF for 2 hrs 15 minutes each of those days. So a total of 6 hours and 45 minutes. Same for level 5. We pay $145.00 a month. Our gym does very well in competition as one of the top teams in the state, even though our girls probably train less hours...

Should a girl be on Level 5 team without a kip?

My dd is level 4. She has never worked on kips in practice. She might have it by the time she moves up to level 5 just from playing around with them at open gym. Most of the girls that moved up to level 5 this year did not have their kips, but now a few months later most of them seem to have it...
