Great gymnastics! CAL won 1st place. My dds team was invited to do an exhibition before the meet. They had a blast: DD got her shirt and a poster signed by the women on CAL team. The girls were very excited and proud to mingle with the great gymnasts at the meet!

RE: fear of skill(s): Seems it all really started with her fear of doing a BHS on high beam. She was in the L4/5 training group. She got it on low beam and I guess, "rang the bell" (gym recognition) for it...
Thanks. This is a great gym and those nearby are not acceptable. Maybe I should ask her again if she wants to try another place further out . However, I think her heart's not in it now.

Just a thought as a teacher of 7 year olds: I have my students explain the directions to a partner. They will focus on the instruction because they have to tell/show their classmate how.
I must add that coach is amazing with the kids in all other respects. Coach has brought them so far in a short time and is respected by all- kids, parents, and all other coaches :)
