Don't quit if you love the sport! Rest until you heal. When you come back, maybe don't wear any wraps of braces. My gym doesn't let us wear braces unless we really need them so our muscles grow stronger there. You can condition a little and stretch, but don't keep using hurt areas
If you have one of those little bars with the wheels on the ends, hold on and do backward rolls. If not, just have backward rolls as a side station. Have them really get the feeling of pushing on the bar. Also tell them to pull down super hard on the bar and it will bounce them straight up! ;)

I'm level 7 and I have trouble with cartwheels and I always lean to one side more, so my coach had me do cartwheel gainer off the side. It is easier because I don't have to stay on the beam. If I start to fall sideways, I just kick my leg and flip.
