DD's foreign coach who doesn't speak much english was telling here the below changes were for level 9 and 10 beam, for this season. Are these really coming out for this season?
9 and 10:
Has to have 3 different flight skills
Cannot do a front layout or f.full or f.double anymore, you would...
DD is working back tuck back tuck for her level 10 beam series. She has nice back tucks, but is struggling to get the connection fast enough to count w/o swinging her arms. Does anybody have a video of this connected correctly? I looked on youtube, but I didn't see any. She likes to see...
It's safe to do basic things, as long as they are doing skills they have by themselves with clean form etc... We have a low beam and a floor mat that some friends gave us, and we have a trampoline in our back yard.
At our current gym if the girls aren't "ready" they don't compete, the girls score between 36's and 38's but they do a LOT of conditioning and stretching. If you don't score well at the mock meets then they make you wait until the next meet or whenever you score better. DD's gym trains 25 hours...
Is a side somi supposed to land both feet at the same time or one after the other? DD's coach said at the same time, but I was watching Jordyn Weibers beam routine, and it looks like one and then the other.
I took DD to the doctor on Monday for her shin splints. The good news is that there is no stress fracture, but she has a bad case of shin splints. She has been dealing with these for over a year, and nothing seems to be working. She broke her foot two months ago and had to take 6 weeks off...
DD is changing her vault from a tsuk layout to a handspring front. DD put it on her youtube account, and would love some tips on how she can make it higher and also land it. Thanks in advance.

I think what he said is that she does a barani, and then does a 1/2. She instead of doing a 1/2 she does a round off with no hands, thats what I mean't by she is mixing them up.
Our gym does have 9's and 10's.
