I really think for situations like this (and because of gyms like those mentioned that are infamous for holding back gymnasts who are more than ready to advance), there should be some kind of rule in place....specifics would have to be worked out, but something to the effect of “if you score 37...
I could be wrong, but your post gives the impression that you are looking for ammunition to use to cause a problem for that gymnast.
I really really hope you're not trying to find out if it would affect NCAA eligibility so you can then "report" that and stop this girl from getting help

Wow, that was awesome!
The synchronized they really move well together-very in tune with each other
And like you said they resemble each other up there which makes the effect even more stunning to watch.
Congratulations! Great accomplishment
BH looks undercut as well. You should be reaching back further/BH should take up more room lengthwise.
Like previous poster said--too up and down. Look at a video of a good BH and watch how the handspring takes up more room lengthwise and hands don't hit so close to where feet were.
@LadyBugGymnast. I would probably mention something to her coaches. I'm mostly responding to the part where you said you haven't because " all kids are shy". Not in my experience-- I have a 7 year old who is quite the opposite. For example, if he got a different toy in a Happy Meal at McDonalds...
While I 100% agree that at age 2/3 the gym should be all about fun...well, there are quite a few 7 year old level 7s out there.
And they don't generally walk in the gym at 6 and a year later compete optionals
So I'd say, not at all odd to have pre-team preschoolers. Or am I wrong?
I work as a hair stylist. The best thing you can use for hair that likes to break easily is strengthening treatment, shampoo and conditioner. I have fine hair and it makes a big difference. Fine hair--you can look at it the wrong way and it'll break
I wear my hair up 90% of the time, and my...
I imagine your heartfelt appeal to Mr Beam was heard.
That or he was starting to get a little jealous of the time you were spending with Matt.
But tell him to lay off on the bruises--that relationship violence is bad. They have groups for that. ;)
OP -- no one was being insulting or highly critical of your daughter. They were trying to explain why she (or any child) may score lower even with higher difficulty
For instance, if you read my post I said that she didn't have great form, ( like the bent arm kip) but was clearly talented. And...
What I want to add--having looked at some of the videos such as 6 yr old's kip learned in the basement-- is what immediately strikes me is the form issues.
She is doing a very bent armed kip. its very hard to unlearn bad habits. That's the danger with all the at home learning big skills.
Not...
But I also think , if you're not going to let her do her floor (with or without trying the ROBH), then let it go completely. She will have lots of time to do it when she feels she can. Take off all pressure.
I just think it's a shame for the kid to be crying after every meet knowing she could...
