WAG What else does your gymmie do at home?

My 9 year old daughter is a L5 in Australia and does 14 hours per week over 4 days. She doesn't have any other scheduled activities and likes to watch tv, watch stuff of YouTube, play and hangout with the local kids at the park across the road from us and she loves doing art and crafts.

    WAIS talent ID invite

What do you mean by their "body shape" policy and their Talent ID criteria? My DD will be attending the assessment at WAIS in a few weeks and I'm curious to know.

Parents How far do you travel to your gym?

At the moment its a 10 minute drive but we are currently building a new home which will make it a 30 minute drive. It works out good though because if she trains in the afternoon I drop her off and my husband picks her up on the way home from work.

My daughter has been asked to attend a talent ID day at the Western Australian Institute of Sport in a few weeks time. She's currently NDP2 and turning 8 in September. I was interested in what hours would be required for training and the costs involved if accepted. And also any advice or...

WAG How is your gymmie built?

My DD gymmie is nearly 8 and is petite and lean. She was beautiful to watch when it comes to the beam and floor because she has that dancer's flair. I've seen gymnasts of all body types and sizes so I guess there isn't a stereotype.

    Hi from Australia!

Wish I knew of this section earlier! Miss 7 has just been accepted in her club's National Development Program squad, level 2. She's only really been doing competitive gymnastics for a year now so she is progressing very well and enjoying it a lot. I love this forum because we are a novice...

    WAG Newbie here

Thanks all for your replies, thoughts and advice. Currently I work 19 hrs over 2-2.5 days per week and I am permanent part time meaning my hours and days are not flexible. I could change my employment status to casual which means I don't have a set roster and can take or leave offered work as it...
