Stop doing the skill for awhile and then take it back to the very beginning.

    WAG Elite Gym Contracts

Maybe he's really from Columbia? I don't know how it is in Columbia but for some countries the contracts the gymnasts have stipulate that they are to be paid. I don't really understand how it works. Here is an old article that talks about some Brazilian gymnasts losing their contracts...

WAG "gymnastics is for little ones" ?! your opinion

The little ones have a better strength to weight ratio with better flexibility but the older ones are doing harder skills. Gymnastics routines are judged mainly on skills. For me, the takeaway is that little ones are better at conditioning but not necessarily better at gymnastics.

    WAG Elite Gym Contracts

I don't think the statement that Geddert has many transplants was meant to be a dig at his coaching ability. It's just a fact that he has a lot of transplants. That happened because his gym has a good reputation for getting good results and sending kids off to college on scholorship. That...

WAG Gabby Douglas and Chow split again

I don't think it matters that the difficulty keeps rising. It's been shown many times that it's possible for a gymnast to pass from one quad to at least the next one and still be very good. Some had a break, some didn't. In 2012 we learned that if they're Ponor, they skip a quad, and still be...

WAG Gabby Douglas and Chow split again

Well, this has happened before so you don't really have to be crazy to think it can happen again.

WAG Gabby Douglas and Chow split again

Also, McKayla competed in the AA at the last Worlds and I think she has always trained all events. That was pretty smart since I think it turned out to be pretty hard for specialists to make the US Olympic team last time. The fact that she could do all events probably helped her bid for the...

Kyla needs to do the one thing that's more important than upgrades. After that, if she's going for Rio, she needs her upgrades sometime before then but not necessarily right now.

    WAG NAIGC

Colleges have their official teams and then they have their club teams. Any student can compete on a club team regardless of ability. NAIGC teams are club teams. If your daughter goes to a college that doesn't have an NAIGC team, she can start one herself.

Don't the fake comebacks usually pop up much closer to the Olympics?

    WAG Coaches Fees. Why?

Coach's fees are because team gymnasts tend to get a discount for practice time. To take up the slack, you get fees for competitions. The gyms that really make out are the ones that have profitable teams. They charge meet fees anyway since it's standard.

How to train stuff for beam.

WAG Side Aerials on Beam in which Level

The thing with beam skills is they aren't that physically demanding. If you're interested in getting a side aerial on beam and you can already do the skill on floor, just start training it for beam. Work it on a line on the floor and go up from there.

WAG going for L10... is it worth it?

I still don't think the story is complete BS. Operative word being "complete". HA! Most likely part of the truth mixed with some confusion. Did she start gymnastics as an adult? No. Did she learn a jaeger and a geinger as an adult? Apparently so. I have never seen a video of her doing...

WAG going for L10... is it worth it?

Might not be complete BS. I do know Masako Kardos was learning jaegers at 52. But I don't know when she started. I don't think she worked her way through USAG levels. Masako competes (or competed. I don't know what she's up to now) in adult meets in California. They have a different level...

WAG just started gymnastics and need advice

Trying to figure out if this is encouragement or a discouragement. To me, that song is kind of cryptic. The actually lyrics seem dreamy so you could be saying something positive like "hold on to your dreams!" or something negative like "keep dreaming!" Lots of people think the song is about...

WAG just started gymnastics and need advice

This is very true. The gymnast in the video is in her 50s and learned these skills as an adult. So I'd have to say go ahead and aim high. Decide which skills you want to learn and find out what drills you need to do in order to learn them. You might not get them all but I bet you get some.

WAG Competing in a meet without a team

I had no idea that "Buffalo One" was actually on her parents' property. I think her parents actually allowed her to last longer and go farther in the sport than she would have otherwise. It's just too bad, they weren't better coaches ... and that they apparently were crazy screamers.

WAG NCAA eat your heart out

I don't see what else she was supposed to put in her routine. It's hip hop. The hip hop dancing was the choreography.
