Slightly off topic but a quick update:
Got deferred to regular action for MIT, so they’ll make a final decision in March. Kinda disappointed, just glad they’re still considering!
Hopefully will hear back from state schools soon :)
I'm planning on majoring in math and cognitive science. I've always loved teaching and research, and the two majors combine that well! I definitely agree with raenn, gen eds are a great way to begin to figure out what you want to study!
I've heard great things about QuestBridge! Totally feel the same as your DD with time and all :) For some reason, I think refreshing the application portal over and over will make decisions come sooner...no luck yet. EA decision should hopefully be here by Dec 15th, the school's website just...
I'm a senior this year, and I was wondering if anyone else/ your DD/DS is going through the college process as well! I know there's not a whole lot of gymnasts on here, but maybe someone can offer some words of wisdom in these stressful application crunch times!
I've applied early action to 1...
I have no idea if this is the appropriate forum to ask this, feel free to move it need be!
So I’m a WAG gymnast, and I don’t watch a whole lot of MAG. I’ve noticed on high bar before dismounts, men tend to change their form on their giants. The whole arch thing they do seems to get them more...

Hi all! I'm not sure if this is the right thread, feel free to move it need be.
I'm a junior in high school, and senior year is approaching quickly. Senior capstone is a graduation requirement at my school, and we need to choose our projects by the end of May. I'd love to do something related to...
Just wanted to add, I have been competing at my YMCA for 4 years now, and we have never prayed before a meet, and I've been to meets all over Region 6. I'm not religious, but most of my teammates are. I personally wouldn't care if they did pray before meets, but I can imagine a lot of people would.
My favorite coach got her dream "real" job, (yay!) but that means she can't coach any more. Her last day is next week, and I wanted to get her a thank you/good luck sort of gift. Only problem: I have no clue what to give her. Coaches- anything you have really appreciated from your gymnasts? Any...
I think the front and side aerial will be like the toe on and stalder currently are on bars...I see no future where gyms don't do majority front tuck :)
I don't have their comp leos, I have several of their practice ones. I don't perfectly fit into any of their sizes, and I think it's well worth $5 to get a custom one. There's a lot of *extra fabric* if it doesn't fit quite right :P
