    WAG Level 5 Bars Requirements

Would she need to if she is British and only competing for a couple years over in the states? If that were the case would she technically have to start at the beginning and pass each level. Or is it level 5 in particular because it's the last compulsory level. I was under the impression that...

    WAG Level 5 Bars Requirements

Thank you - yes I have now seen that it is a couple of sites that haven't updated their skills. It looks like our club doesn't start competing until December (if I'm looking correctly) So she has the summer and fall to pick up the couple of bars skills she is missing. If she can't in time...

    WAG Level 5 Bars Requirements

Free hip might end up being easy - she hasn't even learned it yet. They don't start doing that until a level up from where she is now. They are just starting to work sole circles though so that might be an option. She has done flyaways but not in competition because over here they don't count...

    WAG Level 5 Bars Requirements

Yes I saw that - I think that the sole circle will be the easiest thing for her to pick up. They have just started working on them at her club and we have 7 weeks until we move (and months before competition season). Thank you!!!

    WAG Level 5 Bars Requirements

Thank you - I knew some changes had been made at some point. That makes alot of sense. Can you tell me - on some of the links provided it says that you can do a free hip or a sole circle or a stalder.......is that the case. I'm guessing a sole circle (which they are just learning now) is...

    WAG Level 5 Bars Requirements

Okay - one less skill she needs to learn then. I wonder why I see sites listing front hip circle and half turn drop dismount as Level 5 then? They seem relatively current as well. Need some serious work then as she has never even attempted a free hip or a flyaway and can only cast to...

    WAG Level 5 Bars Requirements

Over here in the UK we only do a baby giant if they can't do a long kip (long upstart in UK) so you do both then - do you do it from a cast on the high bar and then swing back into the baby giant? And no sole circle?

    WAG Level 5 Bars Requirements

Hoping somebody can help. We are moving to the States from the UK and my daughter will be competing with a club in South Carolina. We were looking up skills for various levels on bars but depending on where you looked they were different. I thought USAG Levels were the same across the...

WAG Difference between British and USAG levels?

I do know of a lot of gyms over here that sadly won't work with military families from abroad - or at least won't put a lot of resources into them. We have some Canadian military friends and they had to go to 2 gyms before they came to ours where their girls could compete. Good to know there...

WAG Difference between British and USAG levels?

Tnag and piper vale are probably closest. Huntingdon is a good gym as well - more known for men's programme but they have a decent women's artistic programme there and are very friendly. My daughter attends their elite summer camps and likes it there. Would be a bit more of a travel though.

WAG Difference between British and USAG levels?

I am an american expat (and ex gymnast) and have two daughters in the UK who do gymnastics. The levels and grades over here are very different from the American system and can take a bit to get your head around. Every county has different levels - most starting at level 7 and working up to 1...
