    WAG New USAG Dr.—or not?

Wow...I am a Journalism major, and USAG has literally made me decide not to take the PR track. I agree with the statement that USAG is unsalvageable. Unfortunately, I’m not sure how much I would trust a new organization either, considering that we still don’t have a full investigation, and it...

    WAG AAU Ladies program

I’m a little confused about the Ladies program. I am in Xcel Platinum and my teammate and I (both 18, if that matters) were both placed in a ladies age group at AAU State. We were the only two in it, so my first thought was maybe there weren’t any other gymnasts within 24 mo. of us, so we...

    WAG New USAG Dr.—or not?

Thanks for the insight. Interesting...doesn’t seem to be a very transparent process of hiring/firing, but what’s new?

    WAG New USAG Dr.—or not?

Anybody know what this is about?

    WAG Gymnastics Injuries?

I have had a lot of injuries. Many ankle sprains, broken 5th metatarsal, broken wrist, torn MCL (didn’t happen at gym but Dr. thought it was related to stress gym had placed on it), and worst was a back injury that had me out for about 6 mo. Ended up being a couple of bulging discs, but I...

WAG Number of training days per week

My group (Xcel Platinum, Diamond and level 7) practices 3-5 days per week. We are required to pick at least 3 days, but I go all 5 and so do most of my teammates. I know this seems like a lot for Xcel, but I love the hours and we are far from sweeping competition because of it lol.

    WAG Question?

    They will compete for both.

    WAG Trampoline in Waco, TX

I will be on Baylor University’s NAIGC team this fall, and I read that NAIGC has recently added T&T. I am interested in competing trampoline in addition to artistic AA and was wondering about where I could practice. Baylor practices at Zero Gravity gymnastics but they only have a tumble track...

    WAG Oh and thanks USAG

I think I just registered for it, but there was no confirmation or anything. Not sure if I want to take it before my birthday though in case I have to redo it. Last year my birthday was the same day I competed at state. Glad that’s not the case this year as I would be very confused!!

    WAG Oh and thanks USAG

I turn 18 right after my state but before regionals. Do I have to take it right after my birthday to go to regionals (if I qualify)? Not sure if it would count if I took it now since I am still 17?

    Back injury

I have dealt with a slipped disc and it took intensive physical therapy for me to return. I also had to take a significant amount of time off but they had originally thought I had something much more serious (stress fracture, spondy, etc) but after 2 MRI’s they settled on a slipped disc. I am...

    Roundoff on High Beam

I got my round-off on beam last summer, and what really helped me was stacking 8-inchers under the high beam and taking away one at a time as I practiced them by myself. Don’t compete it yet if you don’t feel comfortable though.

    Longtime gymnast

Hi all! I had a chalkbucket account about 4 years ago but have since gotten a new email and forgotten user, password etc. I have been a gymnast for about 7 years and a coach for 3. I am a senior in high school and will happily be continuing my gymnastics in college through NAIGC. I am currently...
