Jordyn is fabulous...steady, focused and beautiful....I absolute love watching her...and she is the nicest person anyone could meet...and so is her mom....Go Twistars....
Looks like this is what my Level 8 gymnast has decided to do instead of breaking herself any more at gymnastics....not sure...is this safer????
I am so proud and astonished by my DGD. Just a few weeks ago she badly broke 2 fingers and her foot doing a bhs on the beam at state. She was regional bound until the last event where this happened. It completely halted the state meet (for all events) for several minutes while they assessed...
The state's attorneys office has issued a warrant for her arrest and they have a statewide search going on to find her. I guess they have determined that she did indeed commit fraud when she collected the tuition and immediately packed up and left.
She is in a removable cast so that she can start exercising her fingers a bit each day. Hoping for lots of good wishes for her to get the use of her fingers again...doc told her mom after surgery to get her to learn to write left handed because he was not sure what the outcome would be (he said...
There are some coaches that were owners of a gym in Georgia a few years ago (that just closed it's doors and left people hanging) and then they did it again just last week in South Daytona and have now moved on to Cape Coral....wondering the best way to keep others from being scammed by these...
Ok, she saw the ortho today and they are scheduling surgery for her to have her two fingers repaired. Apparently the dislocations were so close to the joint that some displacement has occurred and they want to repair that. They have mentioned "pins" but we don't know yet about that:confused...
Ok, so her year hasn't been that great, but come on....she was at her state meet today, Level 8, not having a great day, but doing okay and then it happened....last rotation, beam...her nightmare. BHS, looks like 2 displaced fingers again....all I know is that my daughter is not staying once...
Please send lots of focus fairies to my DGD for her meet tomorrow morning. Apparently last night she hurt her middle right finger AGAIN!:( Hopefully it is just a jamb. She has a meet tomorrow morning and she does not need this on her mind. Beginning to think that this is not the sport for...
It's that time again, and I hate to ask, but my DGD certainly needs the good luck fairies to send her some lovin' for her meet tomorrow evening. She is struggling with both bars and beam and has not received great scores this year. She totally scratched beam for the first two meets and only...
I am so hoping the weather warms up for next weekends Buckeye Classic.:) Although I would love for my DGD to see "real" snow:o, I'm not so sure I want to be frozen solid in order to see it:confused:. And that's just my thought for the day:p.......
Deadline was December 11, 2010....they FINALLY posted preliminary schedules last Friday night (Jan. 21, 2011)...booked our flight Saturday morning (3 tickets, $220 each)...arriving Friday, Feb. 18-mid-day for a competition Friday night....leaving Sunday at 5 PM...seems like enough time...
For all of you who traveled to Central Florida this weekend for the Sand Dollar at Disney's Wide World of Sports....So sorry about the weather:(, but at least we got sunshine and no snow:cool:...................yet!
Second meet of the season this weekend at Sand Dollar (Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando). Last weekend's meet was not such a good one.:( My grandaughter had a rough going at it and needs a bit of confidence to boost the ratings. Just send some Good Luck in general, she really...
Has anyone ever heard of this guy or used any of his self help training CD's? And has anyone had any success at all?

My grandaughter is really struggling (as many gymnasts do) with her BHS's...
My grand daughter seems to be struggling with her giants. She does fine over the pit with a spot (even when the spot is not touching her) but has a fear of doing it on the actual parallel bars for fear of hitting her foot/feet on the lower bar. How can she overcome this fear? Is this a common...
My grandaughter just came home from the ortho dr and was told that she has sesamoidtis and has been instructed to not run (no vault, no floor that involves running first) and no warm up with running for 2 weeks and then he will see her again. Seems like there must be apparatus shoes with that...
Very new to this site but hoping it will answer lots of questions and bring information to me for my gymnastic hopefuls! Glad you have such a site. I have been a guest for a few weeks and have received lots of information. I have enjoyed all that I see and read and the support that everyone...
