    From my experience girls rarely leave alone. If you are friends with any moms and trust them, ask their thoughts. They might be thinking just as you are. Also, if you go on indeed.com and look up gymnstics coaches, most YMCA/YWCA pay $12 - $15 per hour. They are definitely not getting...

    Gymnasts Mental block on beam

    When you are practicing on the low and medium beam, practice landing and balancing on one foot. Then bring the second foot down with control. That way you are building confidence and muscle memory that if an issue were to happen again you are prepared, safe and can handle it.

    WAG Looking for advice or people who can relate.

    Gymnastics is an individual sport until college. Have a conversation with coaches about creating a goal/training program for you personally. It should not matter who you are training with, you should have an individual plan for your own success, whatever that looks like to you.

    Parents When your child doesn't take a competition seriously.

    Possible fear of failure? It sounds like she is working pretty hard to make public display that this doesn't really matter to her. Could she be doing that to guard herself from the pain of putting herself out there 150% and not winning?

    Anon Should we stay…or should we go?

    There is no reason to expect perfection in form at this age. I don't think it is healthy emotionally. Striving for perfection at anything at 7 yo is a burden. I am not saying she should not be motivated to improve but she also should not feel like she is letting herself or anyone else down...
