DD Just Returned from Woodward
She had a blast. She did FlipFest Camp last year and loved that as well. She said that she liked Woodward (PA) a bit better. Lots to do and met lots of good friends. Have a blast.
DD does not seem to have huge fears on anything except her full on floor. Just wondering if any of you have any words of wisdom that I can pass on to her. She has gotten most all of her 8 skills including a pike back and giants on bars, tusk vault, bhs's beam, front tuck, bounder, front tuck...
Snow at the beach
Those are really amazing photo's. Can't believe that it could snow that much especially living at the beach for over 20 years. We had our first big snow just 2 days ago here in Myrtle Beach, SC. Kids were gone to watch the GA team for a gym outing and missed the snow here...

If you have a computer with Windows Movie Maker, it is really pretty easy to do it yourself. All you do is open the program, select import from device, from there, it allows you to put an introduction and ending. As you practice, you will find you get better and better and are able to clip out...
Good wishes your way. Just a thought, my dd has had a cast on every summer since level 5 now level 8 and we live at the beach. Our ortho. suggested that we try the waterproof cast they now have available. They can swim without having to worry about the cast getting wet. It is a wonderful...
My kid does not read this or I probably would post this one although we do laugh about it between us now. When Bailey was 7, she wanted to go to dance class like her big sister. We took her and dropped her off once a week for a year. The recital time rolled around, we got her all dressed up...
Great to hear from you guys. I guess that time is rolling around again. Have not been visiting much until now. Look forward to seeing you again this year. Good luck and sounds like she is really doing well. Level 8 is really something this year. Miss Bailey is getting so serious, I...
I am not an experienced gym parent by any means but I think I can offer some insight. My kid was diagnosed with ADHD. Not so much the AD as much as the HD. She was just unable to sit still and would get yelled at 24/7 because of the massive amount of excess energy. She entered gymnastics at...
Have you considered asking the gym if you can do a fundraiser to help with the expenses. I know that our gym allows this when the girls who qualify for regionals or nationals to help parents with expenses. I believe they did a bake sale for several weeks. The moms of the kids who qualified...
Hi Wannabe, There is a great graphics program that is free called Gimp. It is designed after photoshop and works great. Just google gimp and download it free. Photoshop can cost upwards of $600-$800 but I would suggest trying the gimp program. I believe you have to have at least windows xp...
Us too!! We just finished with it after 10 days. Dr. gave entire family tamiflu and thankfully no one else got it. DD missed 10 days of school and gym. Not too bad. Hope it clears up soon for you.
Follow Dr.'s advice for sure. My DD always tries to push a healing injury. Even when we have the choice of a splint, wrap or cast, I always choose cast as I know that it is impossible to keep those little flippers off of their injures. In the long run, staying off of them will get them back to...
Welcome,
I enjoy the parents forum as well. The parents here are very informed and I almost always find answers to my never ending questions. It is also nice to know that there are other people who have the same challenges that I do. Gymnastics is the best thing that ever happened to my Bailey...
