    WAG It happened again......ideas?

NOTE - I am not a doctor.... This sounds just like my brother's kids. Does she bruise easliy by any chance? Both of his kids were diagnosed with Celiac's disease (gluten intolerance). They started lethargic, then pale, then projectile puking, then within an hour , fell into a dead sleep. Once...

Off Topic Gabby is NOT a liar

Below is an interview with Gabby where she acknowledges she did not intend to make Excalibur look bad, nor the City of VA Beach. Its amazing how different candid interviews look on tape when they aren't pre-scripted.. Video: Full interview with Gabby Douglas | WAVY.com | Virginia Beach, Va.

I love ALL of these! They make me smile and bring tears to my eyes at the same time. Proud tears that is because I can totally relate to each example. We are very blessed to have such happy and healthy children.

Off Topic Gabby is NOT a liar

Everyone has the right to their own opinions. - Mine? - Gabby gave false information during the Oprah interview. Period. The links below can attest to that. There are other african american gymnasts that trained and competed with her along with a list of other Excalibur gymnasts that made...

Parents Hours of practice at different levels?

My 8.5 yo DD competed prep op this past year and will be L4 this year. She trains 16 hrs per wk (4 hrs per day x 4 days per wk). I believe our L5's and L6's are 20hrs. Still 4 hrs per day but 5 days per wk. That seems to be much more than the averages I see on this thread.

What do your friends think about gymnastics?

" Gymnasts aren't the only ones fielding these questions with their friends either - We parents get the same grilling with our non gymnast family and friends too. Things like Why do you let her do so many hours? What do you mean she is there 20 hours a week every week all year long? Why can't...

Parents Any parents of gymnasts with Pectus Excavatum?

Thanks very much for the reply. That's reassuring! Her surgeon said she will probably excel after about 6 months becuase she'll be able to breath so much better. But yes, the thought of her enduring the pain and recovery is tough.

Parents Any parents of gymnasts with Pectus Excavatum?

Our DD 8.5yo Level4/Prep Op was evaluated last summer during one of her growth spurts and it was determined that she will have to undergo surgery to correct her funnel chest. They originally expected it would be next summer, however she is now having diffuculty breathing during warm ups. From...
