Off Topic Messed up avatar

Checked my settings my kid pic is there, one kid in red on the beam. Yep that the one I want.

Yet it seems some one else's pic of to lovely kids but not mine is showing up on my posts.

Can some one help or fix.

Again under my settings all seems correct

Edited to add I am going to try to just take the avatar out and redo the pic

Yeah, until you've presumably removed it just now, I saw (from what I recall) a girl in a red leotard, hands touching toes, white scrunchie around bun.

But I have had 'the goats' and various avatars replacing either smilies, line breaks or backgrounds in text boxes. Other people seem to have had it at the same time as me, but I don't know if it is an iPad thing or not.
I also have messed up country flags on my Mac near the avatar (I refuse to update Adobe flash, so that is probably the culprit there, somehow).
