Haha when I was a brand new team kid and not even a first year compulsory gymnast, we had a fun optional meet called the beach meet! It was great and held outside early summer:) No hunks w drinks and such but mom and dad did get to sit outside in a park for the day!
Coaches submit a video including the girls optional skills on every event as well as some basics and the elite compulsory parts as well. Or girls are invited directly from National Team staff at level 9E/W championships or JO Nationals.
Yes exactly! You score needs to be high enough to qualify to classics to be elite. You can also score high enough at a National Qualifier and be qualified directly to champs.
Think of it like a level 10. One year she qualifies to nationals but the next year she doesn't. She is still a level 10, she just failed to make nationals. Same with elites. Championships is the US elite Nationals w a fancy sponsor name:)
No you have to re qualify to champs and classics. You are an elite once you hit your score. You do need to qualify to said meets as a sr with a higher score however you were still a jr elite. I suppose girls who didn't ever score high enough to qualify as sr can only say jr elite.

The JO National team girls are also given some additional gear like Leo's and warm ups while at the ranch. They are also sent some special goodies for holidays and may ask for 2 free VIP tickets to one USAG event like Championships.

No you are incorrect. John absolutely uses this conditioning for his compulsory level kids from the bottom to the top as do most successfull region 5 gyms. The norm is around an hour of conditioning per practice.
