First meet in JO, first meet of the season. DD competes Sunday - extended family is coming out to visit and watch the meet. We take the 4hr drive tomorrow morning. It's a fun meet! We were there last year competing in Xcel. We're staying at the Host Hotel as well. Good luck to everyone!

i'm late to this. But also live in CA and had the same issue this year. I ended up getting a Dr's note stating she couldn't do "high impact" anything, and gave it to the school. PE teacher now has her walk, instead of run.

I totally agree! At least in our Region. I know some regions use Xcel more of a rec program, hence why so many just ASSUME it is the lesser in ALL ways.. lol

Our Xcel program is VERY competitive with the option to move to JO. Bronze - 6hrs min, 10 hrs max Silver - 8hrs min, 12hrs max Gold - 12hrs min, ? max Gold is as high as the program had progressed as of this past season. There is talk among the girls that many are either moving to Plat or...

I just had to call my daughters school today, she's missing 2 Friday's this month due to Meets. They had no issues at all being that she is missing for a sport. Although if it was my daughters 1st day of high school she most likely would be going to school. By her choice
