I am competing level 3 this October, my problem is, I still don't have the ROBHS, but i'm really close. What would the deduction be for not doing the BHS... also, what are some good drills to get this skill?
This sorta happened to me a few months ago, there was fluid under my knee. I had to wear a brace and use crutches for a week and I was only out of the gym for a week so I only missed 2 practices..... I guess it drained itself.
Yesterday at practice I got my FHS on floor!!!!! I'm so happy! I got it on the tumbl trak about a month ago, so yesterday, I asked my coach if I could try on floor. The first one that I did, I landed down kinda like in a sqatting postion, then after landing like that a few more times, I finally...
4 beams, about 6-7 beams that go on the floor, 1 vault table 1 level 4 vault mat thingy, 1 spring floor, 1 tumbl trak, 1 single low bar, 1 single high bar, 2 sets of uneven bars, 2 mini tramps, 3 wedge mats, 3 roller mats, and lots of other random landing mats and blocks.
Just a random question: What is your favorite event? Mine would have to be......
1. Beam (some people find it weird that beam is my favorite, but it just is.)
2. Floor
3. Vault
4. Uneven Bars
1. Beam
2. Floor
3. Vault
4. Bars
I suck at bars.... my only bars skills are pullovers and stride circles, where as on beam I can do cartwheels, handstands, side handstand half turn dismounts, roundoff dismounts, jumps, turns, leaps, ect. Floor and vault are somewhere in between.
Hmmmm... well... EVERY SINGLE TIME I start running, I start with my left foot and do a little leap thing in the beginning. (my PE teacher thinks its wierd). Also suluting after every cartwheel, roundoff, ect.
Okayyy...
Bars- I was jumping to the high bar from standing on the low bar, and I only caught the bar with 1 hand and ended up falling on my face.
Floor- Doing a BHS on the roller mat when a little Pre-K class kid ran into me.
Tumbl Trak- Landing in between the mat and the end of the TT
Vault-...
