Interesting - so it can be a forward or sideways element? I actually wondered if it might be considered a backward element because it lands backwards which is easier than landing forwards. For example, an arabian summi is considered a forwards element because it lands forwards. But a round-off...
Could someone please explain to me exactly what voluntary levels are? Is it an elite comp, rec comp or somewhere in the middle? I still get confused with all the different routes of British Gymnastics!!
Thanks!! :)
Can anyone work out where on the BG website the live stream is for the WAG all around comp today? I managed to watch the Juniors live yesterday, but can't find anywhere to watch the seniors today!?
At our gym we call the tsuk entry 'half on'. I think generally just a half on by itself is not competed or in the code of points. A half on half twist off (with no salto) is common with us and apparently a half on with full twist off is worth the same as a tsuk in difficulty.
Mind you, watching the video, I couldn't see where she would have lost the value of a skill, although I am watching on a slow computer so every time the video stops it appears that she held it for 10 seconds ;)
Some of the elements have to be held for 2 seconds so I would imagine quite a few of the kids didn't get all the skills counted because of not holding the position long enough.
Hi There,
Our Regional Grades range & conditioning set involves a standing straddle press to handstand. Does anyone know what the deductions are for walking on your hands in the handstand to avoid a fall?
Thanks :)
