WAG Why do they place all the way out?

I actually like that they place all the way out! With so many participation ribbons given out these days, I think it is a good way for everyone to get something, but know where they stand. We have had to explain that sometimes your place isn't an indication of your personal improvement. My...

WAG faster, higher, stronger...when is it going to end?

As a mom who just got started with a 9 year old, Level 1, I could not agree with this more. Since reading this board I cannot believe the hours some little itty bitties train and how I would never have let mine do that at that age even if they had given me a 99% chance she would make it to the...

Parents Help me learn how to do hair!

I love the Dutch Braid. On a sidenote, does the hair of college gymnasts drive anyone else crazy? We recorded a lot of college gymnastics for my daughter to watch, and their hair drives me insane! It is totally flying away...the ponytails are loose and flopping everywhere. I cannot stand the...

    Parents Moving up Levels

Thank you! I guess, with my lack of athleticism...(I lettered in French and Drama in HS if that gives you any idea)...I am a little intimidated by our coach. :) It is really our first activity that isn't coached by parents!

WAG Is there anywhere we can see the Nastia Cup?

It is televised- on UNISPHD...whatever that is! We have it set to DVR. I think it is some kind of University Sports channel? We found a lot of Womens College Gymnastics by doing a search through our cable provider.

    Parents Moving up Levels

As I've said in my few posts, my daughter is in her first year of competing Level 1 and is 9 years old. I realize that the skills in this level are "easy," but she has been scoring in the 38 range and has won a lot. I don't say that to be bragging - I would actually rather her be more...

WAG Level 2 Daughter Just can't get her stride circle

I have to disagree with you on that. This is my nine year olds first year to compete as a level one in our local gymnastics meets. We are having the best time of our lives! If she never goes any further I think this will be a year she will remember.
