I would visit Option 2 just to get a feel for the gym. Meet the coaches and watch the training. While your daughter is still only 6, you have a chance to get her bonded and grow with girls and families in your neighbourhood. Life is easy when the location is near you because you will be driving...
I agree with this too. My dd became increasingly quiet on the way to gym and stopped talking about it. She used to express excitement about learning new skills, then a combination of injuries along with fear of doing the higher/scary skills and moving up to elite got to her. This took about 6...

A question about qualifications?
Top 36 National Novice group combined make it to day 2
Day 2 : Both days combined, top 20 plus a few petitions make High Performance.
Am I correct?
So for JO deductions, my understanding is that there is a 0.30 deduction for failure to remove the beat board after the mount from the score. Does anyone know if it is a 0.50 deduction or any for High Performance in the FiG code of points?
For a level 2 bar dismount, there could be many deductions. The dismount is: cast, squat-on, pike sole circle or cast, underswing. Both elements are worth 0.60
If she substituted the dismount with a straddle, her deduction would be double the value of the element. 1.2 is deducted plus any other...
A missing BHS on floor for level 3 is:
BHS is worth 0.60
If she misses it, the judges deduct double the value of the element:
.6 + .6= 1.2
10.00-1.2= 8.80
Her start value will be 8.80
Judges will deduct faults starting at 8.80
Same goes for a missing back tuck in level 5
Thanks for all your responses!
I am happy to hear most of your clubs head coaches decide. I agree that it's best they decide and not the parents. It is still an ongoing headache right now. I do like the idea of having the girls vote! Great idea!
I also agree that the coaches should be the ones...
Great to know!
Our club has some parents that expect most of the say in team wear selection. It has become a huge problem, arguing, refusal to pay etc.
It has been an ongoing battle for months and the coaches are going crazy!
I agree that the head coach and athlete votes are the way to go...
Who should chose to pick their club's team wear?
Parents?
Athletes?
Coaches?
Our gym is having struggles on who has the right to decide.
Thanks for your opinions everyone:)
