I know there are some others here that homeschool... I'm just wondering how everyone is doing? Will you be taking a summer break?
My kids have finished up this years work (and have done SO great... YAY) and we have started on the next 'year' {Alexis is doing 3rd/4th grade work; Austin is...
Just have to share... I've got a couple excited girls here :) :)
It's so hard to believe Alexis' first season of competing as a level 4 gymnast is over. She had a great year, made lots of memories and has learned so much. She found out a few weeks ago that she will be joining the level 5 team...
Alexis had her second Level 4 meet today :) It was SO well organized and she had such a great time!!
She was really bummed that she didn't get a blue ribbon... lol! Her first meet she got an 8.85 on floor and kept telling us "next time I will do better and get a blue ribbon on floor"! Well...
Alexis had her first meet (ever) this past Sunday. She had SO much fun! She kept saying she was not nervous, however, when they ran out and headed to beam we could tell she was very nervous. She fell off the beam but got right back on and continued... so proud of her for that :) After that...
Rylee has really been working on her ROBHS and has been so determined to be able to do it by herself... well, last Monday (October 11th) she did it :)
Here's a quick video of her from the the first day she did it (this was like her 5th or 6th one). She's been doing it at practice since and...
Alexis has her first meet on the 24th :) She is SO excited!! I am hoping to surprise her with a level 4 charm for a necklace or bracelet (do they make anything like this) or a level 4 pin (to maybe put on her gym bag?)! I'm not sure which yet but was wondering if anyone could tell me where to...
I have a super happy girl here today and just had to share her exciting news ;)
Rylee decided (today) that she would like to learn how to do a back walkover. After 3 'spots' she did it by herself (and she was yelling, "I DID IT!! I GOT IT!!!"... haha... love it when that happens)...
Rylee broke her elbow at the gym 3 months ago and this week has finally been able to get back into the gym. She is completely obsessed with gymnastics and those 3 months were pretty hard on her not being able to flip around all over the place. She is SO happy to be back!! She really did not...
This has been a hard week... I'm not sure I've ever cried so much. Tuesday night Rylee (my 4 year old) was doing gymnastics in her class (fast tracks) at the gym and she broke her elbow. They had mats folded up and then lined up (for running distance) to add some "height" to do round offs over...
I posted in the preschool section a while back about Rylee joining pre-team at 3.5y/o. Thought I'd post a quick video of her doing some gymnastics at home today.
She is VERY close to getting her round-off back handspring. We are thinking by the end of summer she will have it by herself...
We knew it was coming but I was SHOCKED when we were asked if we would consider moving Rylee to fast tracks NOW! Fast tracks is pre-team for younger girls (6y/o, 7y/o, 8y/o)! Team starts at level 4 at our gym. Rylee though is 3.5 years old. LOL! She is obsessed with doing gymnastics and is...
Hello! Thought I'd take a moment and introduce myself here.... my name is Erin and I am the mother to 4 children... 2 in gymnastics.
Alexis is 6.5 and currently a level 3 and pre-team (fast tracks). We just started her in gymnastics 1 year ago at the age of 5. She has come so far in just 1...
