Our gym begins its competitive track with Amerikids level 1. Although it's a recreational level, girls must be competent at new L1 skills and be invited. We have 5-6 meets per year, and my 7 year old has competed this spring with the state meet in a couple weeks.
Just this week, my 5 year old received her invitation to compete as well and she is over the moon. Fortunately, they will have the same coach and compete at all the same meets. This year, both levels 1 and. 2 competed the same day so hoping that will continue for next year.
