I was wondering if anyone has ever struggled with this or has any advice:

I think that doing beam is the most exhausting thing ever---like infinitely more tiring than floor routines. It is difficult to get through a beam routine just because it feels like I want to stop and rest halfway through-lol! I am in great shape and have no issue doing cardio or high intensity training, only on beam. Even outside of the tiring factor, beam has always been so incredibly difficult compared to the other events. Once in level 7, I scored around a 9 on every event except for beam, on which I scored around a 4 after falling off 5 times...haha...I do great beam complexes as well as high levels of repetition for routines.

Thoughts?

No wonder you are exhausted. Being a club owner, coach, gymnast and ex-gymnast is enough to tire anybody out.

What do you say to your students when they are having similar issues? Maybe you have some advice for yourself within that?

What do you think specifically is tiring/difficult about beam?
