WAG Change-Split Leap.

I can usually do a really good change leg split leap and all leaps in general but lately I've been doing them really badly. I recently had a comp and I did the leap nicely there but in training I've had several issues - bent back leg, lack of height, uneven legs and I don't know why! Maybe it's because I haven't stretched enough or its something else! Please Help!!

 
It sounds like you're taking for granted the basic elements that make your leaps work. Spend a few minutes on each aspect of the take off, each aspect of the leg action at the apex of the leap, and then everything that takes place to recover from the split position and get squared and aligned for the landing...... including the plie' to absorb the landing energy of the leap.

It should take very little time and will get you back to where you were and more.
