i just started learning my standing backtuck and i want to get it fast... any ideas???

Try doing lots of standing back tucks on tramp, spotted on floor, and on floor up onto a small height, such a think crashmat with a spot, as well as doing some standing back tucks of a box onto the floor. Make sure you are setting up, to give you height, and getting your hips up quickly, to ensure fast rotation.

I have taught hundreds of back tucks...:) I do lots of drills and body technique. Make sure you're not throwing your head and you're flipping by getting knees and toes up and over your head. :)

I have my girls do tucks off of panel mats and after a set number unfold a panel until it gets closer to the floor. Before I do that, I actually have my girls flip up onto an 8" mat because if you can do that; you can do it anywhere.

Just jump hard, set hard.

a good drill to do is to hang on a high bar and just do 2-3 sets of 10 'tuck ups' .....tuck your knees up and over your head and back down controlled :) Hope this helps!

Good Luck!
