What can I do to get my hip to stop hurting?

Lately, whenever I do back walkovers (anywhere- floor or beam), A muscle or something in my hip hurts.

Like right where it is circled- on my left leg. I am a lefty and so whenever I kick over, pain shoots through my leg that is so great that it hurts even to walk. My coaches are aware of it but they have not given me anything to do about it. I had had this problem about a month ago and it went away for a few weeks but it has come back. Right now I have just been taking an Advil before my practices. Please post any help!!
 
Well then you are good to go! No one can give you better advice than him. Maybe see a sports physio, they can give you stretches to help.
 
A physiotherapist who is knowledgeable about gymnastics would be good, otherwise a dance physiotherapist should be helpful. St John Neuromuscular Therapy may also be helpful - they look at things from a slightly different perspective from physiotherapy, kind of more holistic.
