How many meets do compulsory levels do in everyone else's area? This is the same amount every other gym in our state does that competes USAG. I never thought it was abnormal because it's all I've ever known in the years I've been around gymnastics. Is 7-8 meets really a lot?

Before we switched to AAU, we did 6 meets plus state, starting in Aug, ending in nov or Dec. Now that we're AAU for compulsories, they still only do 6 plus state, Jan to March/April. Level 5 then does one more USA qualifier for mobility.

I personally think that your DD should compete both level 4 and level 5 but because of her age I believe that forgetting about level 4 is probably a good idea, I think she is to young to have to remember both routines.
