WAG Range and Conditioning like in the UK too extreme?

Ok, I see...I always find it so sad that the time on "top" is so limited! But although the class says "acro for kids" it is not like acrobatic gymnastics but more like a rec class or circus class, but not like contortion and only floor acrobatics without events or partners, no one trains to be...

WAG Range and Conditioning like in the UK too extreme?

Thanks! Hm, but they are on the competitive path, aren't they? I am just wondering if it is bad to do nothing else but this as your conditioning and flexibility part beside a little bit of tumbling. Although it definitely is impressive and Insee all the components that must work together and be...

WAG Range and Conditioning like in the UK too extreme?

Dear all, I would need your opinion. I am in a new acrobatics club (not competitive), but coach is very strict and former Cirque artist with amazing skills. Girls are age 7-14, train 3x2h, mostly floor acrobatics (simple handsprings, cartwheels, tucks) and do shows at school end. Coach wants...

WAG press handstands in a floor routine allowed?

Are press handstands allowed in a floor routine? Well, I guess they are allowed, but do judges like to see them? Combo I am thinking about: Back Extension Roll to Handstand - Handstand Forward Roll Tuck Handstand - Handstand Forward Roll Straddle Press Handstand - Handstand Forward Roll Pike...

    WAG Too intense?

Okay, so it doesn't affect me as I am not competing or on a real team anymore. At my gym (my sister is a L5 there) the higher levels (L7/8/9) train together, 20hrs a week. They had big skills but were not well conditioned which you could notice on execution. They got a new coach who put up...

    WAG Too intense?

Thank You! If anyone want specific numbers of conditioning sets and reps, I would be more than happy to post them :)

    WAG Too intense?

Can't really answer that. It is somewhere included like the jumps in active flex and basic tumbling, leg strength in conditioning etc. Nothing too specific though.

    WAG Too intense?

I don't want to tell the whole story why I am asking this, but if someone is interested, I will explain. What do you think about this gymnastics Workout Plan for L6-L10? (no competition season) Practice 4 hrs a day, 6 days a week. 10 minutes warm up with running 10 minutes intense core...

    WAG whipping and back tucks

Thank you! Yes, I know I need to do that one higher, but it is kind of a "whip back" motion rather than a straight jumping up thing. Do you also find LOSO easier after a back handspring step out or do you find tucks easier?

    WAG whipping and back tucks

Thanks for your reply! Yes, I know the difference! If I do just a single back tuck, it looks like the second one with good setting. But if I try it out of a Back Handspring stepout, I do not set! I find it soo hard to set high out of a back handspring stepout or cartwheel...

    WAG whipping and back tucks

I can easily do Cartwheel- Back Handspring step out and Back Handspring step out Series. And of course I have a Standing Back Handspring step out and a standing Back Tuck. I wanted to add a Back Tuck after the Back Handspring step out or the Cartwheel and now I have a question. I am having a...

WAG bounder vs front handspring for tumbling?

My sister is a L5. Her coaches make her train Bounders, also called Flysprings, a lot more than Front Handsprings. She also does drills for Bounder - Front Tuck on mats and they want her compete Bounder - Front Tuck for L7. When I asked her she told me they want her to do Punch Front Layout -...

    WAG sissone "leap"??

I need a jump connection for floor where both jumps must take off from one leg. I have a regular split leap. I can't do switch leaps and also not side leaps. Is there such a thing as a sissone leap? A sissone taking of from one leg?
