Hi everyone,
For those who are part of a non-profit gymnastics club, run a by a Board of Directors, do you offer any perks to their kids? Free classes? Discount?
Thanks
CK

Parents around here don't recieve perks for being on the board. Other than the perk of knowing what is going on and having a say in decisions it is all volunteer.
Coaches here don't get a discount ir othet perks for their kids to train either.

Wow. Really? Coaches' kids here are free, and can join any class and basically hang out anytime in the gym.....We are debating whether board member's kids should get maybe a 50% discount...

If you are a 501c3 , I would be concerned about the legality of it.
501c3 non-profits are allowed to offer compensation packages. At least that is what I was told by a tax professional. So as long as the compensation package is spelled out, it should be legal.
My gymmies get free team practice as part of my compensation package. I just pay meet fees and for leotards/ warmups.
